Why Remote Work Is Growing And Why Did I Join This Trend?
Do you see people on a Monday morning, how do they look... perfect or stressed, or rather I would say "Perfectly stressed"!!... The popular - Monday Blues 😈
Yes, almost 70%-80% of the time when I see people, especially on Monday morning, they seem to be very stressed while going to their workplace. It has been almost 6 to 7 years since I was also one of those people feeling weirdly stressed due to one of the other reasons. 😒
Actually, there are no specific reasons behind this stressful feeling that people usually experience while going to their workplace. It could be due to the pressure of reaching the office on time, a client meeting, an office meeting, traffic on the road or metro or buses, and more.
For moms, the pressure is even worse due to the reason they have to make their kids ready for school, leave their kids in crutches, or to a nanny (maid) and reach the office on time.
I always used to question out of curiosity that wouldn't this pressure be only related to work that you have been hired to perform in your job and nothing else? Everything else should be super smooth.
What if
- you are required to work on your own time (Online jobs at home)
- you get the flexibility of making your own schedule (Freelancers)
- you have no pressure of commuting and reaching the office every day (Work from-home jobs)
- you can start your day on your own time from anywhere - (remote working)
- you have no limitation on working hours instead you can work as much as you want to earn more (work more earn more) - (earn money online)
These were my real desires that actually got fulfilled only after I quit my full-time job. While working full-time on my regular job, I was happy about my work but unhappy and pressurized due to a few of the reasons I already stated above.
I wanted to have the flexibility of working from home so that I could be around my kids and watch them grow without any need of sending them to a crutch or to a nanny. Motherhood is a blessing and every mom should have the liberty to experience this and be with their kids.
But I couldn't get this opportunity from the employer and decided to quit.😞 I think, female professionals have to go through this phase in their lives and they are bound to choose between their regular full-time job or being with their kids!
Don't you think these moms should get the opportunity to have one more option; i.e. to choose both; to work while being with their kids. Actually, this is their right!
So, here comes the role of remote working or freelancing into play. Although it was not easy to get a remote job or to start freelancing or working from home earlier, it has now become a thing worth a try before quitting.
I feel immense pleasure to have the opportunity of remote working available at this time because it gives me the freedom to work from home or anywhere.
How do you feel about remote working?
