If you are already a freelancer, you might be aware of techniques to get freelance clients. However, if you are new to the freelancing field and wish to start your freelance carrier, read this blog till the end.

Being a freelancer, I know the importance of getting quality clients. In order to attract and find freelance clients, you can choose one or more ways mentioned below:

1. Freelance Marketplaces

Create profiles on freelance platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer.com, or Fiverr. These are the marketplaces where you can get clients to sell your services.

At Upwork and Freelancer.com, you can search for projects as per your skills and send direct proposals to the client along with the bid. Whereas, Fiverr requires you to create your profile and gig pages based on the type of services you wish to offer. Your gigs will be visible to the clients already available on the platform and as per their project requirements, they will contact you to get your services.

2. LinkedIn

Your LinkedIn profile can be an important tool to get connected with potential clients. This is the reason, you need to build a strong LinkedIn profile showcasing your abilities, skills, as well as services you wish to offer to your clients.

You can post your work in the form of an article, infographics, design, video, etc. to attract potential clients to your profile. People can directly message you via LinkedIn and place orders for your services.

On the other hand, you can also search and find your potential clients on LinkedIn. Send them direct messages or connection requests asking them for the services you wish to offer.

3. Cold Emailing

Cold emailing is a growing trend and can be a very important method to directly push your clients to buy your services. However, you need to be clever while sending emails and show that you want to help your client through your skills in the form of services you wish to offer.

Additionally, clients will be more likely to revert if you show them how your services would help them grow their customer reach, increase revenue, etc.

4. Instagram Profile

If you are a freelancer, you must have an Instagram profile as it has become one of the most popular ways to attract clients. This is another platform that you can use to connect with potential clients.

You can use your Instagram profile to showcase your skills and offer services. By sending direct messages to your potential clients, you can ask them if they are interested in buying your services. However, you need to do this cleverly.

Create your work portfolio along with some sample work to share with your clients. Many freelancers are getting clients through their social media platforms as well and Instagram is one of them.

Now, it's your turn to chase your first clients and start offering freelancing services. It is really a smart way to monetize your skills through social media and different other platforms online including freelance platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, etc.
